Lord’s Day

Prayer for God’s Will

Pray for God’s will to be done—for His will to be channeled from the heavens to the earth—and for His economy to be executed.

“Our Father who is in the heavens, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth.” (Matt. 6:9-10)

Monday

Prayer for Those in High Position

Pray for those in power in the nations and in our country—including the President, the Vice President, the authorities, the coronavirus task force, the people in the medical field, and those in the first line of response against the pandemic.

“I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made…on behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity.” (1 Tim. 2:1-2)

Tuesday

Prayer for All Men

Pray for all men on the earth—for the control of the pandemic, the reduction of fatalities, and a cure for the disease, to preserve many lives—and for all men to be saved—that men would heed the warning from God and repent and turn to Him.

“I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men….This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, who desires all men to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim. 2:1, 3-4)

“The Lord…is long-suffering…not intending that any perish but that all advance to repentance.” (2 Pet. 3:9)

Wednesday

Prayer for the Propagation of the Gospel

Pray for the word of the Lord to run and for the “white horse” of the gospel to prevail in these days for the salvation of all men.

“And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he who sits on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer.” (Rev. 6:2)

“Finally, brothers, pray concerning us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as it is also with you.” (2 Thes. 3:1)

Thursday

Prayer for All the Saints

Pray for the saints of all ages and circumstances—including the elderly (who are vulnerable in this pandemic),  the needy saints, the young saints, and the dormant and backslidden saints—being watchful over their condition.

“By means of all prayer and petition, praying at every time in spirit and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.” (Eph. 6:18)

“For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers.” (Rom. 1:9)

“Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.” (Col. 4:12)

“…the ones leading you…watch over your souls as those who will render an account…” (Heb. 13:17)

Friday

Prayer for Our Families

Pray for our families—both our immediate family and our extended family, including our relatives, friends, and colleagues—that they would be godly, and not ungodly like the world, praying also that the Lord would strengthen the family gatherings, the home meetings, at this time.

“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)

“By faith Noah, having been divinely instructed concerning things not yet seen and being moved by pious fear, prepared an ark for the salvation of his house, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” (Heb. 11:7)

“But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.” (Josh. 24:15)

Saturday

Prayer for the Lord’s Recovery, the Churches, the Co-workers, the Leading Ones, and the Full-timers

Pray for the Lord’s recovery, the churches, the co-workers, the leading brothers, and the full-timers everywhere.

“O Jehovah, revive your work in the midst of the years.” (Hab. 3:2)

“And so the churches were strengthened in the faith and increased in number daily.” (Acts 16:5)

“For we are God’s fellow workers…” (1 Cor. 3:9)

“Brothers, pray also for us.” (1 Thes. 5:25)

“Remember the ones leading you, who have spoken to you the word of God…” (Heb. 13:7)

“We therefore ought to support such ones that we may become fellow workers in the truth.” (3 John 8)
